Washington, DC (SportsNetwork.com) - John Wall scored the last 10 Washington points in the second overtime, leading the Wizards to a 133-132 win over the Boston Celtics on Monday night. The Wizards led by as many as 23 points in the third quarter but allowed the Celtics to come back and force overtime on Evan Turners 3-pointer with 0.6 seconds left in regulation. Earlier, Turner scored seven points during a 15-0 run in the fourth quarter that completed Bostons comeback from a 23-point deficit. The Celtics had seven-point leads in each of the overtimes but scored just two more points in the last two-plus minutes each time. The win gave the Wizards a split of a home-and-home set after dropping the opener 101-93 in Boston on Sunday. The Celtics comeback on Monday was fueled by its bench, which combined to score 82 points in the game. Jeff Green was the only starter to play all 10 overtime minutes as reserves Marcus Smart and Kelly Olynyk led the way. Celtics coach Brad Stevens said it was a no-brainer sticking with his bench players down the stretch. Those guys deserved to play at the end because they got us right back in it, he said. Smart had 23 points to lead the Celtics reserves, Olynyk and Brandon Bass each scored 19 and Turner had 18. Green scored 28 to lead Boston, which had a three-game winning streak snapped. Washington kept pace with Atlanta for first place in the Southeast Division after its four-game winning streak was snapped by the Celtics on Sunday. Wall finished with 26 points and 17 assists, including a kick-out to Paul Pierce for a 3-pointer at the top of the key that tied the score with 38.9 seconds remaining in the first overtime. Bass picked up a long rebound for Boston moments later but missed a breakaway layup before the buzzer with Pierce playing tight defense. In the second overtime, Olynyks elbow jumper gave the Celtics another seven- point lead, but Turners runner with 1:04 remaining counted as their only other points. Wall was fouled on a made layup and hit the free throw with 44.6 seconds left to give the Wizards their 133-132 lead. Turner missed a jumper at the buzzer with a chance to win it for Boston. Earlier, Pierces turnaround jumper gave the Wizards the lead with 1:24 left in regulation and they remained in front until one too many offensive rebounds in the waning moments allowed the Celtics to tie the score. The last came after Olynyk missed a straightaway 3-pointer and the ball was deflected out to Turner, who dribbled to the right corner and swished his 3. Rasual Butlers heave at the buzzer from well behind the 3-point line was well off the mark for Washington. The Wizards had a 13-point lead at halftime and went ahead by as many as 23 several times in the third quarter, the last on Walls runner with 2 1/2 minutes left. The Celtics scored the next 11 points to pull within 12 and trailed 92-76 at the buzzer. Bostons 15-0 run turned a 102-88 deficit into a 103-102 lead on Turners 3 with 3 1/2 minutes remaining in the fourth quarter. Game Notes Washington has won five straight at home ...
